Rampy
Film. 2001

This short film featured a miniature mobile ramp. The work is a record of the object’s encounters with local spaces and structures in the streets of Whitechapel, East London. The little ramp plays in the space between architecture and ritual. Like all of us, this ramp is shaped by it’s wish to measure up and find a place were it can fit in.

Rampy was made in response to an earlier installation in Fordham gallery, Whitechapel, it was first screened at the 9e Biennal of Moving Images, Geneva, Switzerland in 2001.
