A place in the air
Film installation

This installation featured a series of ramp structures, projections show these ramps standing alone in a number of public spaces. Mounted on castors and with leads for pulling them along, the ramps soon became adopted by a surprising cross section of the public. Six locations were used in London over a period of six days.
Filmed clandestinely, at a distance, each ramp offered a simple proposition, they invited passers by to leap into the air.
Though this 'suspended' state often only lasted a second, it is a significant moment, a small act of liberation. These moments (as filmed projections) form a dialogue with the accompanying ramp structures.
